Inside Photos: Pooja, Shaheen And Alia Bhatt Celebrate Dad Mahesh Bhatt's Birthday

Mahesh Bhatt is one of the most celebrated directors of his time. In his era of the 80’s he had directed some of the most memorable movies which are still remembered by all. Some of his best movies that the audience and the media still loves included ‘Saaransh’, ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin’, ‘Sadak’, ‘Aashiqui’ and ‘Zakhm’. In the present times he is the head of a brilliant production house and now is more interested in producing films rather than directing them. He has given the industry some of the best and most talented stars. His daughters Alia, Pooja and Shaheen all have made a name and place for themselves without his help; he has not launched any of his daughters under his production banner. Looks like movies, acting and direction runs in the family blood.

Mr. Bhatt turned 67 recently and all his daughters made sure that he had a blast on his birthday. The birthday was unfortunately two days after the demise of Mahesh Bhatt’s second mother. He was seen in a rather pensive mood on his birthday because he dearly missed his ‘other’ mother.

On a social networking site Mr. Bhatt posted “My ‘other’ Mother melted into the ocean of time leaving me with memory of her loving touch,”

The girls of the Bhatt family also seem to admire their grand-mother a lot and hence we saw them posting tweets in memory of Hemlata Bhatt.Pooja posted “The guardian of the most epic love story, Hemlata Bhatt – my grandmother, passed away. She was 97 and braver than us all.” this on twitter.

Well they sure missed her but what is a birthday without celebrations; we saw the photos of the three girls surrounding their father in a joyous mood with a cake, dancing happily.

The love for their father was very much evident when these daughters wished him on Twitter. “Happy Birthday Pops! I love you. To my greatest life source. You give me strength to question on! Generosity, courage, life! Happy Birthday Pops! Love you to death and beyond,” Pooja tweeted.

Alia was not far head and we saw her share this post on Twitter:“Happy birthday my special, unique MAD father! @MaheshNBhatt! You make life soo weirdly interesting… And of course CRAZY 😉 I love you
