Once upon a time, though, it was Deepika’s arch-rival Katrina Kaif who seemed to have the midas touch, wherein everything she touched literally turned to gold. Films like ‘Singh is Kingg’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Namastey London’, ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’, ‘Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ were blockbusters, and her presence in them only made their success that much sweeter.

So much so, that producers were lining up to sign on the ‘lucky mascot’ Katrina Kaif in their films.
