Meet The Jury! FFI Members Who Selected ‘The Good Road’ – India’s Oscar Entry

The Film Federation of India (FFI) selected 'The Good Road' as India's Oscar entry on Saturday. Here's a look at the people behind it.

MUMBAI: On Saturday, the Film Federation of India (FFI) committee chose the Gujarati film ‘The Good Road’ as India’s official entry to the Oscars for 2014 in the Best Foreign Language Film Category.

Acclaimed Bengali director Gautam Ghose was the Chairman of the jury. The other names on the jury included Hindi film directors Sujoy Ghosh and Onir, and other directors such as N Shankar, K P Kumaran, Mahesh Kothare, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Kavita Lankesh and C V Reddy,

It also included actorss Rupa Ganguly, Vijay Patkar, fashion designer Agnimitra Paul, screenwriter Kamlesh Pandey and music director Vidya Sagar.

The others included on the jury were Bharthiraja, Indraneel Bose, Sanjay Verma, Ramadoss Naidu and Aarti Anand.

The FFI committee is the one that selects the one film from India to represent the country at the Oscars every year. Last year, the committee (a different one) had included ‘Barfi!’.
