MUMBAI: Salman Khan’s association with Sooraj Barjatya goes a long way back, and Prem in whatever forms has been an immortal character.
Now Salman Khan will be back with Sooraj Barjatya in his next, rumoured to be titled ‘Bade Bhaiyya’. And the buzz is that Nargis Fakhri may be close to playing the lead opposite Salman Khan in the film.
Earlier, apparently, Sooraj Barjatya wanted to sign on ‘Cocktail’s Diana Penty for the role. There were also rumours that Ileana D’cruz has been signed on opposite Salman Khan.
Then ‘Madras Cafe’ happened. A source says, “’Madras Cafe’ released and the important players from Sooraj’s office liked her performance. It was then decided to narrate the script to her and organise an audition.”
Meanwhile, Nargis Fakhri, too, is enthused about the role. The source adds, “She is hoping she bags the role as it’s a big project with Salman Khan returning once again in his popular character Prem. However, an official announcement will be made soon.”
The film is scheduled to shoot in the latter half of 2014, with a release in mid-2015. Salman Khan’s fans eagerly await a romantic Prem on the silver screen again.
