Queen Elizabeth II will be hosting the UK-India year of Culture this Monday at the Buckingham Palace by having the presence of many bigger known people from both the countries. Well! She along with Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh extended her warm welcome to the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. But it is said that he won’t be able to make it to the ceremony.
Some source blamed the tight schedule of the actor and said, “Prior commitments are making it impossible for him to fly to London for the gala. He has already extended his regret to the invitation, citing pre-scheduled commitments, but is honoured to receive a special invite from Buckingham Palace”.
In fact, a publicist too confirmed about the same by saying, “Yes, Mr Bachchan has been extended a rare invitation by Queen Elizabeth and Buckingham Palace to grace the UK-India Cultural Year reception. Unfortunately, however, he will be unable to attend due to prior commitments.”
