While Ranbir has neither denied dating Katrina nor has accepted it, Katrina has been pretty vocal about it and has maintained the fact that Ranbir is a co-star and she is very comfortable with and shares a great rapport with.
Infact both are currently in New York on a romantic getaway and are expected back in the second week on January.
In the meanwhile, the news of Katrina declining Ranbir’s marriage proposal has spread like wild fire. If reports are to be believed then Ranbir has tried convincing Katrina to get married to him, but Katrina has said a firm No to Ranbir’s marriage proposal, as she wants to focus on her career.
Now here is what is actually going on between the two:
Ranbir Kapoor has two films that he is busy with. Anurag Kashyap‘s Bombay Velvet, that stars Anushka Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Karan Johar, Kay Kay Menon, Siddhartha Basu and Naseeruddin Shah. Ranbir essays a role of a boxer in the film. The second film, Jagga Jasoos, is his first production along with director Anurag Basu that stars Katrina Kaif and Govinda.
On the other hand, Katrina has four films that she is currently working on. Bang Bang opposite Hrithik Roshan and Bipasha Basu, Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir, Kabir Khan’s Phantom with Saif Ali Khan and last but not the least Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor with Aditya Roy Kapoor.
This time around Ranbir is very seriously involved and totally in love with Katrina, but for Katrina it’s all about her career. She is only looking at her carrier and is no mood to settle down but Ranbir is very clear. He wants to get married and have a family and that’s the issue between the two.
Ranbir is heard confessing to his close friends that Katrina has no plans to marry him in the near future and as the days are going by there is a possibility that the alleged love birds will never tie the knot together.

One feels sorry for the Kapoor boy as this is the first time he is serious about someone he is dating and wants to talk to his parents, so that things can be taken to the next level, but then this time around Katrina is not willing to give in. She is cool to date but is completely against the thought of matrimony.
