Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan collaborated with each other for the Dabangg franchise. Dabangg 3 has been in news for the longest time now.
Salman Khan is by far Bollywood’s most celebrated superstar today. And the two films that elevated him to this untouchable stature, were Prabhudeva’s Wanted and Abhinav Kashyap’s Dabangg.
The action films were a major turning point in his career. So much so, that Salman is yet to deliver a dud ever since. Fans have been wanting to see Salman in Dabangg again. His character Chulbul Pandey has been appreciated and loved by all the viewers.
While Dabangg’s sequel was helmed by Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan, Wanted never had a sequel, until now.
Prabhu Deva is expected to make an official announcement soon, after Salman gave him the go ahead, after suggesting a basic plot to the actor-director.

However, this has put Arbaaz Khan’s Dabangg 3 in jeopardy. As the film has now been indefinitely pushed, since Salman is expected to work on Prabhu’s directorial, right after he finishes work on Tiger Zinda Hai.
This has reportedly angered Arbaaz Khan as he was commencing work on the film at the earliest.
A close source reveals, “Arbaaz Khan has been planning to direct Dabangg 3 for the longest time but his brother Salman’s tight schedule isn’t letting Dabangg 3 to happen. Salman, who finished Tubelight and shooting Tiger Zinda Hai will start Wanted 2 soon after which is why Dabangg 3 has been pushed. And Arbaaz isn’t exactly pleased with this development and is upset with Salman.”
While Arbaaz Khan hasn’t said anything about the reports, there were speculations that Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur will be a part of this venture. A source had earlier said,
“Salman’s brother, Arbaaz, who will be directing Dabangg 3, has an interesting role for Iulia. But she won’t be replacing Sonakshi Sinha. Sonakshi will continue to remain a part of the Dabangg brand.”
Iulia Vantur has herself earlier said that,
“I have been receiving very interesting offers. There are some strong characters that I identify with. I read the scripts and then think to myself, okay, this will be interesting to explore.”
Salman Khan will be next seen in Kabir Khan’s Eid 2017 release Tubelight, co-starring brother Sohail Khan, along with a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. The film is slated to release on June 25, 2017.
