Heckshaw Ridge – Heckshaw Ridge is a 2016 biographical war drama film, directed by Andrew Knight and Robert Schenkkan, that revolves around the e-World War II experiences of Desmond Doss, an American pacifistic combat medic who refused to carry or use arms as he was a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian. Doss, later on, happens to become the first conscientious objector to receive the Medal of Honor for his services and courage to stick to his ethics. The movie’s cast consists of Andrew Garfield, as Doss along with Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, Hugo Weaving, Rachel Griffiths and Vince Vaughn. The movie was also picked by the American Film Institute as one of the top ten, ‘Movies of The Year’. At the Academy’s however, it managed to get into the nominations for, ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Director’, ‘Best Actor’ to Andre, ‘ Best Sound Mixing’, ‘ Best Sound Editing’, ‘ Best Film Editing’.
