MUMBAI: Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapoor are set to sizzle on screen in Yash Raj Films ‘Daawat – E – Ishq’. This film is written and directed by Habib Faisal and also stars television heart throb Karan Wahi.
Habib Faisal is best known as a writer for ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ and the man who wrote and directed ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ starring Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor which got him his first Filmfare award.
Parineeti Chopra whose screen debut was in 2011 with ‘Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl’ was last seen as an outspoken and rebellious Gayatri in ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ and Aditya Roy Kapoor who made his film debut with Vipul Shah’s ‘London Dreams’ but then rose to fame with Monit Suri’s ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ would share screen space for the first time.
Along with these two Karan Wahi is making his Bollywood debut with this film. Karan Wahi is best known for the role of Ranveer Sisodia from the popular television series ‘Remix’ on Star One. Post this Karan also won many hearts playing the handsome Dr. Siddhant Modi in ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ again on Star One where he was paired opposite Moulshree Sachdeva.
Recently Karan was seen as a celebrity contestant in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ on Colors and has also been successful as an anchor. He has anchored shows like ‘Nach Baliye Shriman v/s Shrimati’ on Star Plus and ‘Indian Idol Junior’ on Sony Entertainment Television with Mandira Bedi.
Karan never wanted to become an actor. Instead he came to Mumbai to peruse a career in cricket but then things took an unprecedented turn and as they say the rest was history.
From what we know about ‘Daawat – E – Ishq’, it’s a love story set in a small town were one would see Parineeti romancing both Aditya and Karan.
