Mumbai: Bollywood’s latest comeback queen, Sridevi, was seen at a posh south Mumbai jewelry store launch.
Spotted at the launch for ‘Begani Jewels’, a south Mumbai high-end designer jewelry store, in up market Hughes Road area, was Sridevi. The veteran actress looked absolutely radiant in a pista-green Manish Malhotra net sari, and was seen sporting an exquisite diamond neckpiece, a diamond kada and a large rock on her finger.
The comeback queen, whose latest film ‘English Vinglish’ was given the thumbs up at the box office, was looking radiant and elegant, and was seen posing for shutterbugs along with the promoters of the show.
The lady, fresh off her latest cinematic success, has become a much sought after brand in Bollywood. She has been lauded by critics and audiences alike for her role as middle-class housewife Shashi, who overcomes several obstacles in her quest to learn the English language.
Spotted at the jewelry store launch were other B’town celebrities like Pooja Batra and ‘Chak De’ girl Vidya Malvade. Pooja was seen colour co-ordinated with Sridevi, in the same pista-green coloured outfit. She was seen showing off her toned and sculpted body in a short satin dress. Vidya wore a soft satin white blouse and a flowy ink-blue floor length skirt. She dressed up her outfit with a gold statement neckpiece.
Spotted were other high society ladies at this stylish soiree, who were seen sipping on champagne and commenting on how stunning Sridevi looks.
They were all also admiring the beautiful collection of exquisite, one-of-a-kind diamond and platinum jewelry on offer at the store.
Diamonds are, after all, a woman’s best friend!
