MUMBAI: Bollywood actor and “killer of dead people” Saif Ali Khan was spotted at the Extraaa Innings studios in the city, at the post-match presentation of an IPL T20 cricket match, to promote his latest film ‘Go Goa Gone’.
Saif was casually clad in a navy blue tee and jeans, with a wide yellow headband on his forehead, speaking with New Zealand cricketing legend Danny Morrison about the match. He even spoke at length about his film, in which he plays a zombie hunter.
Saif recently revealed that he had no clue about zombies, and so his directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK introduced him to the world of zombies through a book: ‘The Zombie Survival Guide’.
Reportedly, Saif is such an avid reader that he completed the book in no time, and even surprised the directors with his research on his character.
Director Raj reveals, “When we were discussing our zombie comedy with Saif, he was very kicked and eager to get on with it. But he said that he was more of a ‘vampire’ guy and wanted to know as much as possible about the zombie culture and more importantly, the rules.”
Krishna DK adds, “So we shared this hilariously serious book on zombie apocalypse. Saif is a voracious reader and it is not surprising to see him go through four or five books at a time. This particular book is not available in India so we lent him the book that he finished reading in two days flat. Guess, he liked what he read because he hasn’t returned the book as yet.”
