Nothing Succeeds Like Success and that’s what is exactly happening with Vikas Bahl. Vikas Bahl is all set to start his next, Shaandar and has signed Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for the same.
Even though there are many senior stars who want to work with Vikas, he is very clear about who he wants as his leading lady in his next and that’s the reason he has approached Alia Bhatt.
Vikas Bahl’s latest release Queen, has been appreciated by both the critics and the masses According to Vikas, what makes the film special is the fact that people have connected with Rani’s character. Post Queen, Vikas is all set to start Shaandar.
Vikas Bahl is done with the scripting of Shaandar and is all set to start shooting from August 2014 onwards. As stated by Vikas, Shaandar and will be India’s first destination wedding film.
“Shaandar will be a fun film about an exotic wedding. In fact Shaandar is a fun, destination wedding film. An Indian family lands up in Europe for an exotic wedding. I bounced off the idea to Shahid who readily came on board.” stated a very upbeat Vikas Bahl.
Shahid Kapoor, who has just wrapped up Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider, has given his nod to Vikas Bahl’s film and Alia Bhatt, who is currently busy the shooting of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, is also very much on board.
Picking Kangana Ranaut for Queen was a wise decision, considering the manner in which she portrayed the character. The way Kangana pulled the film on her shoulders also exhibits the mind of the director, Vikas Bahl.
Vikas’s next, Shaandar would for the first film see Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together and most definitely an onscreen pair to look out for.
