Kapoor who is a very private person to start with, has been even more guarded when it comes to his wife. Not only had he slammed a reporter for talking about his wife, but he is also very protective of her in person. Mira Rajput, who is considerably younger and also belongs to a non-film background had married Shahid in a typical Indian arranged marriage setting on July 07, 2015. Shahid had once gone on record to say that he would only marry someone who was not from Bollywood.

At the same time, Shahid and Mira are the ultimate love birds. Never have they been too vocal about their private life and Shahid is also very reserved about public displays of affection when it comes to his wife. The last time the duo went away for a holiday was in August 2015 when they spent a week in London.
