Earlier it was reported that ‘Khoobsurat’ actor Fawad Khan has replaced ‘Hawaizaada’ actor Ayushmann Khurrana and will be romancing with Kareena Kapoor Khan in Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’. But going by the latest news, Fawad is not the one who’ll be sharing screen space with Kareena, but the superstar of Punjabi films Diljit Dosanjh.
The Punjabi actor has been already finalised for the role in ‘Udta Punjab’. Earlier, Ayushmann Khurrana was the first choice for the leading role opposite Kareena, but the actress wanted to be cast opposite some more famous star, so the part then went to Fawad Khan, who mesmerized everyone with his performance in film ‘Khoobsurat’. But the actor turned it down for some unknown reasons.

The team of ‘Udta Punjab’ will soon leave for Punjab to finalise locations. Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’ is set to go on floors by the end of February. The film first caught everyone’s attention soon after Kareena was signed for the film, mainly because Kareena‘s ex-lover Shahid Kapoor is part of ‘Udta Punjab as well. Alia Bhatt is also among the four lead actors of the film.
It’ll be exciting to watch Punjab’s heartthrob Diljit Dosanjh romance with Bollywood’s bebo, Kareena. The team of film ‘Udta Punjab’ currently is working on the looks of the four lead actors.
