Playing a 40 year old at 27 may have been a huge task for Varun Dhawan. But the young actor did not hesitate to take the risk even though many had advised him against that! As the promotions of Badlapur have taken a start, the young actor makes it very clear that he does not want to stick only to his father’s (film maker David Dhawan) genre of films that look at life only through humour. Rather he wants to connect with both the rosy and thorny side of human existence where good thrives with bad, pleasure makes way for pain and brightness comes with dark!
Calling the film the most emotional work he has done till date, Dhawan maintained that Badlapur is a thriller where many of the emotions were too real because the story took the actors in a very self-absorbed and self-exploratory state and people were reacting as if those things were actually happening to them and around them!
Set to release on February 20, Badlapur is directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Sumil Lulla and Dinesh Vijan; the film stars Nawazddin Siddique, Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte, other than Varun Dhawan.
Business of Cinema wishes team Badlapur a dream run at the box office!
