Shivam Nair’s Naam Shabana starring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles has been well received by the audience as well as by the critics. It was being expected that the movie might perform well in the evening and night shows after the positive reviews were out.
Well, the film has managed to earn decent first-day collection. As per earlier estimates, Naam Shabana has collected around Rs 4.75 crore (47.5 million) nett on its first day of the release. The film is expected to lift up over the weekend. Also, the film is made for a wider audience and considering that, Naam Shabana is expected to at least witness a decent run at the Box Office.
Naam Shabana has released on 2100 screens in India and will be released across 37 countries — including non-traditional markets — on 354 screens worldwide.
The film is a spin-off to Taapsee‘s character from the 2015 film Baby. The story is all about how Taapsee along with Jay Singh Rajput played by Akshay Kumar gets into a mission and how she became a part of the Baby. The film had received immense buzz over its hard-hitting trailer and moreover, Taapsee’s role had already connected the audience and wanted to watch more of it.
