Box Office: Bhoothnath Returns Picks Up While Main Tera Hero Does Well

boxofficemainInspite of a slow start on day one, Friday April 11, 2014, Bhoothnath Returns picked up well over the weekend to have a fair weekend total of around Rs. 178.70 million (Rs 17.87 crore) nett. Bhoothnath Returns has a very good word of mouth and has shown an upward trend at the Box Office.

Despite great promotions, Bhoothnath Returns could not manage to have a great start, but the positive reviews of the movie helped footfalls to increase in the evening and night shows. Therefore Bhoothnath Returns, after making a dull start, picked up pace on the second day and the third day and is expected to do good business at the Box Office.

Bhoothnath Returns that stars Amitabh Bachchan and child artiste, Parth Bhalerao, hit the big screens across India, on April 11 2014, did very good business in Mumbai while Delhi and U.P. also showed good growth over the weekend. The film is expected to have a strong week ahead enabling it to put up a decent first week total.

Bhoothnath Returns a sequel to 2008 blockbuster Bhootnath. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also stars Boman Irani, Usha Nadkarni and Anurag Kashyap besides Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.

Coming to Varun Bhawan starrer Main Tera Hero, that released last week, April 04, 2014 is doing decent at the Box Office has managed to collect around Rs. 419.80 million (Rs 41.95 crore) nett.

Main Tera Hero has done its best business in Gujarat followed by Rajasthan. The second week figures were decent considering the competition of Bhoothnath Returns, which picked up after a slow start.

However Queen, is still carrying the momentum in its sixth week and had finally touched a mark of about Rs. 600 million (Rs 60 crore) nett.

Coming Friday, April 18, 2014 shall see the release of three films; 2 States, Dekh Tamasha Dekh and Lucky Kabootar. Now it would be interesting to see how these films fare at the Box Office.
