MUMBAI: Nikhil Advani’s latest directorial, ‘D-Day’, co-produced by DAR Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment, has taken off to a slow start at the box office.

On Day 1, the film starring Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan, Arjun Rampal, Huma Qureshi and Shruti Haasan, has seen low-to-medium box office returns. ‘D-Day’ opened with collections of approximately Rs 26.8 million (Rs 2.68 crore) net on 19 July, 2013 (Friday).
Over the weekend, the film managed to garner an additional Rs 70 million (Rs 7 crore) net, taking the three day opening total to Rs 96.8 million (Rs 9.68 crore) net.
With Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ eating most of the limelight, and the other release of this week, Prabhu Deva’s ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ performing a tad bit better, it remains to be seen whether ‘D-Day’ can up the ante over the coming week.
This is why Kangana is the boldest in her Script Selections.
