It was expected that the Amitabh Bachchan starrer might prove to be a head turner given its curiosity filled plot and concept. With no major releases nearing it, the Bejoy Nambiar directorial film was predicted to attract audiences at the screens. However, with lack of promotional activities and no super hit songs, ‘Wazir’ failed to create a mark on the minds of the masses.
The film opened on a slow scale with 15% opening at the box office. With all the hopes on the weekend collections, the film failed at garnering enough numbers on the weekend too. The fate for ‘Wazir’ was almost predicted.

After a slow start, the first Saturday collection of ‘Wazir’ showed a bit of improvement. But the figures remained stagnant on Sunday and further reduced on the weekday Monday. With lack of awareness and publicity the film did not have a recall value amongst the masses.
The collections of ‘Wazir’ showed major disappointment on the weekday figures. The film has already been marked as a flop with its extremely low earnings. The total collection of ‘Wazir’ for the first week is Rs. 28.50 crore net approx.

There is little expectation from the intense film as far as the collection is concerned. Even with thumbs up from the critics the movie failed to grab any attention. Now whether the film at least crosses the average of Rs.35 crore or no is yet to be seen.[/tps_footer]
