MUMBAI: UTV Motion Pictures’ production ‘Ghanchakkar’, directed by Rajkumar Gupta and starring Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in leading roles, has witnessed a limited growth at the box office, since its opening day.
As reported, ‘Ghanchakkar’, which also stars Rajesh Sharma and Namit Das in supporting roles, managed to evoke an average response at the ticketing windows with approximately Rs 68.3 million (Rs 6.83 crore) net.
The three day total of the film is in the range of Rs 216.9 million (Rs 21.69 crore) net. As expected, the film performed better in northern India.
As compared to ‘Ghanchakkar’, the previous week’s release ‘Raanjhanaa’ did better in its second weekend, and posed stiff competition to the Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi starrer.
