Yet another week where Hollywood films have beaten the Hindi releases at the Indian Box office Godzilla has hit the bulls eye even as the election results day kept the box office performance low.
Godzilla had an average of 60 percent occupancy overall and nearly 90 percent in some places for its 3 D version. Godzilla is set to be one of the highest grossing opening day films in Hollywood film. The Amazing Spiderman 2 had just broken the opening day record for Hollywood films and now Godzilla is eyeing the spot already.
The Xpose started slowly and is dependent on word of mouth with evening shows and Saturday growth likely to determine its fate. The Xpose has heavy competition from Godzilla but there is a different audience for both films which gives The Expose a chance in some parts.
The Indian elections which have been going on the for the last two months and will reach a conclusion today so collections for both Godzilla and The Xpose may suffer in some centres.
In the meanwhile 2 States has managed to cross the 100 crore mark by collecting 101 crores nett at the indian box office in for weeks of release.
