MUMBAI: ‘Raanjhanaa’, produced by Krishka Lulla and directed by Anand L Rai of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame, has seen a good first week at the ticketing windows.
Starring South superstar Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol, ‘Raanjhanaa’ has had a respectable run at the box office, so far. As reported, on Day 1 the film did a business of approximately Rs 52 million (Rs 5.20 crore) net. However, by Saturday, Day 2, the Sonam-Dhanush starrer had picked up the pace. The three day total of ‘Raanjhanaa’ was in the range of Rs 199 million (Rs 19.90 crore) net.
With a mild slump over the weekdays, the week 1 total of ‘Raanjhanaa’ was in the range of Rs 351 million (Rs 35.10 crore) net.
