The film has been unbelievably steady over the weekdays with only little drop in the collections which is very good as it ensures great run over the second weekend. Immense word of mouth has led to the audience becoming anxious to watch the film which has led to boost over the weekdays compared to the weekend where ‘Dilwale’ was leading. ‘Bajirao Mastani’ collected Rs. 9.25 crores net approx (Rs. 92.5 million) on its sixth day that is Wednesday which is as less as 2% lower than its Tuesday collection.

‘Bajirao Mastani’ collected Rs. 12.25 crores net approx (Rs. 122.5 million) on its opening day at the box office and went on to rake in Rs. 15 crores net approx (Rs 150 million) on its day two. On Sunday the collections rose well to Rs. 17.75 crores net approx (Rs. 177.5 million) and Monday collection was Rs. 10.25 crores net approx (Rs. 102.5 million). The film collected Rs. 9.5 crores net approx (Rs. 95 million) on Tuesday and with Wednesday the total comes to Rs. 74 crores net approx (Rs. 740 million).

The best performance for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has been mainly from Mumbai which has single-handedly changed the face of competition between Dilwale VS Bajirao Mastani. Mumbai circuit alone has managed to boost the film and is expected to do so during the second weekend as well which should show growth for both films due to the Christmas holiday factor. Mumbai circuit is expected to take ‘Bajirao Mastani’ over Rs. 50-60 crores net approx comfortably given the current pace.

‘Bajirao Mastani’ has been getting lot of good word of mouth in India as well as in foreign countries where the film has performed well, but not better than ‘Dilwale’.
