MUMBAI: Looks like beings friends with Karan Johar has helped Anil Thadani. Raveena Tandon’s husband Anil Thadani has gained the all-India distribution rights for four of Dharma Productions upcoming releases.

These four films include ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, ‘Ungli’, and another Emraan Hashmi film that is currently untitled.

This news comes off ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ which was distributed successful by UTV and proved to be a big hit for everyone involved. For that matter, Karan Johar recently got in touch with UTV when he wanted to present ‘The Lunchbox’ as well.

Coincidentally, Anil Thadani has distributed ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Student Of The Year’ for Karan Johar and Dharma Productions earlier.

A source said, “The deal struck is to the tune of Rs 100 crore. Anil Thadani and Karan Johar were casually discussing the four forthcoming movies by Karan’s company and within minutes, they both had struck the deal. It was a mutual decision. Even the money was not debated much.”

He also added, “There is no friction between Karan Johar and UTV. In the recent past Karan has sold the theatrical rights to different people. Now he has sold it entirely to Thadani. But then everything can’t remain the same forever. The modalities worked out well with Thadani.”

Let’s hope this new partnership turns out good for everyone involved.
