According to reports, the actor cum model was shot dead by her younger brother as he was against her career in modeling. Reports also suggest that her brother was not okay with Qandeel getting so much of limelight over her sensational videos and social media feeds. Her family also revealed that her brother had asked Qandeel to quit modelling.

Reportedly, Qandeel was very much aware that her life was not safe and so she had fled to Multan but not disclosed her location due to security threats. The self-proclaimed model had recently taken the internet by storm after she shared a couple of selfies and a video of herself with Mufti Qawi, a former member of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. Reportedly, Mufti Qawi was once married to Qandeel and also has a young son.
