She was born as Shubhomitra Sen in West Bengal and later changed it to Rimi Sen for her acting career after she came to Mumbai.
Later she even dropped her surname ‘Sen’ as there were many Bollywood actresses with Sen surname and to stand out from the crowd, she is currently going by screen name ‘Rimmi’.
Rimi Sen’s First Advertisement with Aamir Khan: Bollywood actress Rimi Sen got noticed after doing a Coca–Cola ad with Aamir Khan and after that she got noticed.
The gorgeous actress made her debut as a lead actress in Telugu movie Nee Thodu Kavali. Her debut Hindi film, Vijay Galani‘s Hungama, 2003 opposite Akshaye Khanna and Aftab Shivdasani.
She is also an Odissi dancer and has performed in the dance troupe of the eminent Kolkata-based Odissi exponent, Aloka Kanungo.
She had only one relationship of 8 years in her life and it did not look like she is in the mood for love any time soon as she is scared of marriage and having children.
She is very reserved person and has entered Bigg Boss 9 house only for money and to give a kick-start to her career and to know people outside.
Rimi Sen has worked with Salman Khan in film Kyon Ki which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Suniel Shetty.
