Dev Patel entertained all of us with his chaiwala act in Slumdog Millionaire. He was the perfect choice to play the role and he performed well too. Since then he has been seen in a lot of Hollywood films. A recent addition to this list is his inclusion in a The Weinstein Co.’s film Lion where he will share screen space with Nicole Kidman.

The plot of the story is taken from the Memoir’s of Saroo Brierly, The Long Way From Home, which talks about an Indian street kid adopted by an Australian couple. Garth Davis will direct the film. The studio is pitching the film at the American Film Market to get buyers. Apparently, the story has created enough buzz in the market which will probably work in its favour.
Dev Patel seems to be the hero of this market now. He will be seen as Maths genius Srinivasan Ramanujam, then he has the thriller Child 44, The Road Within and The Second Best Marigold Hotel.
