The two celebs publicly confirmed their engagement news and pregnancy in the month of August on the micro blogging site twitter saying, “Clearing the air..@mscrystalrenay and I are ENGAGED to be married next year. And yes we are expecting. #FromTheHorsesMouth.”

Ne-Yo who is active on Twitter hinted at the arrival of the baby with a couple of tweets saying,” Twit Fam! Got new music coming VERY SOON. Just gotta get my lil’ man into the world properly. !! Thanx 4 your love n’ patience.”
Renay shared the picture of the baby on the Snapchat app captioning it, “Prince SJ has arrived.” Ne-Yo posted another tweet a couple of days back saying, “*I hear Miles Davis playin’ in the background*.”

The new born baby is named Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr.
The much adored duo posted wonderful posts prior to the arrival of the baby. One of the posts sees Ne-Yo bending on his knees and admiring Renay.
