MUMBAI: Hollywood superstar Robert Downey Jr., of ‘Sherlock’ and ‘Iron Man’ fame, may soon be visiting India.
The agenda for his visit though, is not to promote the third installment of Marvel’s superhero franchise, ‘Iron Man 3’. Instead, he wants to promote awareness on sustainable energy.
A source reveals that the actor is supposed to come to India as part of an eight-city world tour to spread awareness about sustainable energy.
“He is expected to start his world tour in November from New York. The other cities include London, Tokyo, Paris, Delhi, Venice and Dubai,” shared the source.
Robert is apparently intrigued by the concept of sustainable energy, the concept has also been used in his film ‘Iron Man 3’. The actor had planned to begin visiting the countries immediately after the film’s release, in order to spread awareness about the cause. But due to his other prior commitments the actor was not able to make time for this good deed.
“He is shooting for ‘The Avengers 2’, which will continue until October, so he plans to leave just after the film is wrapped up,” says the source.
Robert has been unavailable for any comment on this matter. Though, in a recent interview, when the star was being invited to India by the interviewer, Robert said, “Appreciate your invitation, thank you. I will visit India soon… work or no work!”
