LOS ANGELES: In Ridley Scott’s upcoming drug thriller ‘The Counselor,’ Cameron Diaz has replaced Angelina Jolie.
Jolie had expressed an interest in signing on for the film, which already features Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem and her fiance Brad Pitt, but her already busy calendar caused difficulties and her plans were thwarted.
"Diaz is in final negotiations for the project," reported Deadline.com. Penelope Cruz is also said to have joined ‘The Counselor’, alongside her husband Bardem.
