Cartoon Network to offer mobile content in US

MUMBAI: Cartoon Network has partnered with Smashing Ideas for the development and distribution of multiple Cartoon Network mobile games, animated screensavers and wallpapers.


 


Smashing Ideas will distribute the jointly-created Cartoon Network content across North America through carriers supporting Flash Lite content. The first deployment is a games channel consisting of two games on Smashing Idea’s BREW application, Smashing Games.


 


Cartoon Network New Media senior director of advanced platforms Ross Cox said, “We are very proud to partner with Smashing Ideas in the creation of a branded games channel that is the first of its kind in mobile gaming, Our games channel extends the type of immersive gaming experience our fans expect from Cartoon Network onto the mobile platform and serves as a launching pad for groundbreaking original titles created in Flash Lite.”

Codename: Kids Next Door—Flight of the Hamsters: Help the hamsters from the Kids Next Door Treehouse take to the skies for some daredevil fun.


 


Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends—Mac’s Match-Up: Score big points with colorful combos in this frantic Foster’s puzzler.


 


More games based on other popular Cartoon Network properties, including Ben 10, are in development.
