MUMBAI: Nokia and Atlantic Records UK announced that rising electro-pop star, Little Boots will be appearing at this year’s Nokia Skate Almighty event. The collaboration will promote Little Boots’ top five debut album, Hands, and its availability via Nokia’s Comes With Music service and the Nokia Music Store.
Nokia Skate Almighty is a huge free outdoor roller disco with performances from a host of musical talent including Little Boots, Calvin Harris and The Rakes. Nokia Skate Almighty will be taking over the nation’s capital from 5 – 9 August at Potter’s Fields, near London’s iconic Tower Bridge.
The Nokia Skate Almighty rink is open to children and families during the day, encouraging even the youngest Brits to have fun and stay fit on skates. Then after 6.00pm each day, it will be for over 18s only to skate the evening away.
To get skating, individuals simply need to visit www.nokiamusic.co.uk to secure a free ticket for a one-hour skate time slot. Entrance to Nokia Skate Almighty will be via mobile ticket and requires a simple swipe of your mobile phone onsite.
In the run up to the event, a joint outdoor advertising campaign for Little Boots’ album and the Nokia Comes With Music service has gone live, focused on London with additional placement in other key conurbations. Majoring on Little Boots visuals, the spots highlight the availability of the singer’s critically acclaimed album via Comes With Music handsets.
To celebrate Little Boots’ appearance at Skate Almighty, the Nokia Music Store will be making available a remix of Little Boots’ second single Remedy which is due to be released on 17 August. For four weeks from the single’s official launch date, the remix Remedy (A1 Bassline remix) is downloadable from the Nokia Store on an exclusive basis and at no extra cost to Comes With Music subscribers.
