New members join New Regency motion picture division staff

Mumbai: New Regency continues to expand and enhance its motion picture division with Amy Israel joining the company as executive vice president of production. This was announced by Regency chairmen Robert Harper and Hutch Parker.

Israel served as head of the production and acquisitions departments of Paramount Vantage since its inception in January 2006. During her tenure at Paramount Vantage she oversaw a slate of films that included Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood; the Coen Brother’s No Country For Old Men; Sean Penn’s Into The Wild; Ed Zwick’s upcoming Defiance, starring Daniel Craig; The Duchess starring Keira Knightley; and The Goods, a comedy from producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.

In addition, Michelle Kroes joined Regency as director of feature and literary development, with the focus of her efforts on mining the literary community for film projects as well as acting as the contact for east coast talent.
