Mumbai: EMI Music India has inked an exclusive distribution deal with music label, EarthSync.
The first India-wide release in synergy with EMI Music India will be Laya Project, an inspirational music documentary, and double album for which EarthSync travelled for two years through communities in the 2004 tsunami-affected regions of Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar and India.
The film is being broadcast worldwide on the National Geographic Channel. The India release is scheduled for later this month.
EarthSync, a music label and audio-visual production house based in Chennai, is headed by Sonya Mazumdar and Yotam Agam.
