MUMBAI: Lata Mangeshkar will be lending her voice for a Bengali film after 17 years. The film is titled Ami Bhalo Laga Bhalobasha. The film has actress Rituparna Sengupta in the lead role.
Veteran Bengali music director Minal Banerjee has given the music for the film and Mangeshkar had earlier worked with him 17 years ago. She has sung two songs for the upcoming film which has been picturised with Sengupta. Sengupta is very excited about Mangeshkar lending her voice to the song.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com she says, "Ever since I watched Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge where Lataji has sung for Kajol, I always wished that she would sing for me too and that wish has finally come true. I am greatly honored to have such a legend lend her voice for my film."
According to Sengupta Ami Bhalo Laga Bhalo Basha is a romantic film with an interesting plot. She plays a village girl who comes to the city.
