Baahubali’s Success Made Mahesh Babu’s Dub His Telugu Film Srimanthudu’s In Tamil?

The makers of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Srimanthudu will release film’s Tamil version alongside film’s Telugu version on August 7, 2015. The statement released recently reveals that the makers of superstar Mahesh Babu’s most awaited film of the year, Srimanthudu are prepping up for a big release, as the Telugu and Tamil dubbed version of the film hit the theatres on the same day.

Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu film’s team revealed, “The Telugu as well as the Tamil dubbed version of ‘Srimanthudu’ will release simultaneously. It’s going to be a big release. Mahesh has a good fan following among Tamil audiences too, hence we’ve decided to release the film in Tamil.”

Going by the reports, the main reason why the makers of Telugu film Srimanthudu decided to dub the film and release it in Tamil is because of the success Baahubali, which starred Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, received. Super star Mahesh Babu was actually planning to make his debut in Tamil with his next film Brahmotsavam. In an interview, the star revealed that he actually planned on stepping in Tamil industry with director Srikanth Addala’s Brahmotsavam, Mahesh also went further and revealed that he speaks Tamil fluently, as he received his college degree in Chennai.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Srimanthudu also stars Shruti Haasan in the female lead role, who plays the role of Charuseela. The film also stars Jagapati Babu, who plays the role of Mahesh’s father in the film, whereas Rajendra Prasad will be seen in a supporting role.

Jointly produced by Mahes Babu himself and Mythri Movie Makers, the upcoming Srimanthudu is made on a budged of Rs. 70 crore. Music composer Devi Sri Prasad has composed film’s music. He’s been receiving great response for his music work in the film.

As soon as the news about the makers dubbing and releasing the Telugu film Srimanthudu in Tamil broke out, speculations that the decision of dubbing the film had everything to do with the success of Baahubali started to make round all over the internet. The film is all set to hit the theatres on August 7, 2015.
