Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has reportedly been roped in for director Ranjith’s next film. The yet to be untitled film will start its casting processes soon but Lingaa star Rajinikanth has already given his nod. Kalaipuli S. Thanu will produce the project.
Sources close to the film revealed, “Ranjith’s project with Rajinikanth is finalized. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The rest of the cast will be finalized soon.” The Enthiran hit maker was highly impressed by Ranjith’s thriller film Madras that was critically acclaimed. It is definitely a big moment for Ranjith who has directed only two films till date, Attakathi and Madras.
To get an opportunity to direct a superstar like Rajinikanth is nothing short of a dream come true and that proves from the Twitter messages the director has been getting, congratulating him on his next big venture. The project’s pre production has been scheduled to start somewhere at the start of 2016.
Looks like Rajinikanth wants to try a different style of film this time as director Ranjith is known for doing intense reality based films with less glamour and avoids doing loud action scenes. Rajinikanth’s film with Shankar, Enthiran 2 has reportedly been pushed to next year. The actor might also do a movie with Kanchana 2 director Raghava Lawrence, as he is highly impressed by his film.
