MUMBAI: Yes you heard it right. Aditya Roy Kapoor was not the first choice for the mega hit ‘Aashiqui 2’.
The Bhatts had first approached Pakistani television actor Imran Abbas Naqvi for the role. He had almost signed the film, but then due to unavoidable circumstances had to back out and the film was then offered to Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Imran Abbas is a Pakistani actor and model. He is best known for his performance in Pakistani TV dramas like Malaal, Vasl, Khuda Aur Mohabbat and others.
Imran is currently busy rapping up shoot of ‘Creature’ opposite Bipasha Basu. ‘Creature’ is the first Bollywood film on giant fantasy creatures like ‘Jurassic Park’, ‘King Kong’, etc.
The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar under the banner of ‘T–Series’ and directed by Vikram Bhatt and is expected to hit the screens in February 2014.
