MUMBAI: Imad Shah, whose film Little Zizou has just released with good reviews, is happy that he did the film. He plays the older brother of the protagonist in the film who is an artist drawing comic book illustration but he says, “I am similar to my character in the film just in terms of being a young boy in the urban age but other than that am not like him in real life because I am really bad at drawing and I had to put in a lot of effort while enacting that character.”
Born to talented parents – Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, it was but natural for him to have got into theater and acting. However, even though he does look up to his parents, it’s directors like Diwaker Banerjee, Vishal Bhardwaj and Anurag Kashyap who inspire him.
Presently, Imad is interested in directing a short film for the digital medium. He says “India is so rich and diverse in culture, I want to explore the culture around us.” He plans to start work on the film by the end of the year.
