BANGKOK: On the opening day of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards gala in Bangkok, Ram Gopal Varma directed Sarkar Raj was premiered.
The movie stars the Bachchan trio – Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya. The premiere was attended by the entire Bachchan family including Jaya Bachchan.
The film premired at the Paragon Cineplex. Unlike the usual Red Carpet premiere, Sarkar Raj had a "Green Carpet" premiere to show its concern over global warming.
The premiere was attended by David Dhawan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Navin Nischol, PVR’s Ajay Bijli, Manmohan Shetty, music director duo Sajid – Wajid, Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Zayed and Mallika Khan and Mumtaz amongst others.
Thai princess Sirindhorn was also present at the premiere.
