Bhram shoot disrupted by miscreants

MUMBAI: Miscreants disrupted the shoot of Magna films’ Bhram at Gorai Beach on Tuesday, while a scene between Dino Morea and Sheetal Menon was being picturised.

Unit sources say that all legal permissions for the shoot had been taken, and the shoot was in progress when some local miscreants, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, threatened unit members and caused considerable damage to the equipment being used for the film.

Sources say the miscreants demanded cash to allow smooth shooting on the beach front, and allegedly beat up one of the director’s assistants who tried to intervene.

The Bhram unit has lodged a first information report with the Borivali police station, add sources. The unit says it is miffed with the three policemen from the Gorai police station, who were on duty at the site, refused to take action against the miscreants.

Says director Pawan Kaul, “Even though we had all the legal permissions in place, the police officers actually asked us to pay up to resume the shoot.”
