Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya to screen at London Film Fest

MUMBAI: Ketan Mehta’s forthcoming directorial venture Rang Rasiya will be screened at The Times BFI London Film Festival this year.

The festival is scheduled to take place from 15 – 30 October and will screen over 300 films from more than 50 countries.

Rang Rasiya offers a look a the life of 19th century Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma. The movie stars Nandana Sen, Randeep Hooda, Vipin Sharma, Jim Boeven and Rachna amongst others. It has been co-produced by Aanand Mahendroo and Ketan Mehta.

Mehta had acquired the rights for the novel Raja Ravi Varma by Marathi author Ranjit Desai. The film is also being made in English. The English version is titled Colours of Passion.

The movie is being made on a budget of Rs 120 million (Rs 12 crores) and is slated to release in September this year.
