MUMBAI: Former president of the IMPPA (Indian Motion Picture Producers Association) and producer Smita Thackeray will soon launch her next film.
Sources say the film titled as Kaise Kahey, will launch Rajveer Dutt in the male lead. Model-turned-actor Neha Jhulka who has featured in many commercials, has been finalised to play the female lead. The film, to be directed by Mohit Hussein, will mount the sets soon. The director’s wife Chhavi Mittal, a TV actor, will also feature in the film, it is learnt.
Thackeray forayed into films with Haseena Man Jaayegi in 1999, directed by David Dhawan and starring Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Karisma Kapoor and Pooja Batra. Her second film Hum Jo Keh Na Paaye, starring Tarla Joshi and Gauri Karnik, was premiered on Sahara One in 2005.
Her third film Sandwich, earlier titled Hum Do Hamara Ek, which was lying in the cans for long was released in August last year. The film was written and directed by Anees Bazmee and starred Govinda, Raveena Tandon and Mahima Chaudhary.
