Star World lines up new shows in November

MUMBAI: This Diwali, Star World is set to offer to its viewers a slew of new shows and new specials. This November the channel will showcase the new drama series Six Degrees, Special Comedy Line-up, the live telecast of the American Music Awards 2007, the new seasons of Kyle XY, Beyond the Break, The Jane Show, My Wife and Kids and 8 Simple Rules.


Starting Sunday, 11 November at 8 pm, from the producers of Lost and Alias comes the new series Six Degrees, a story about six different New Yorkers on Star World. A mysterious web of coincidences will gradually draw them closer, changing the course of their lives forever. This intriguing tale of intertwined destinies reminds us that romance, success, peace or forgiveness might be right around the corner, but they can also be lost in an instant. It’s a story that underlines just how small the world really is, and how someone just five people away might be shaping your future right now.


On 10 November at 12pm is the Diwali Special Comedy Line-up which includes three hours of back to back episodes of Friends, three hours of Seinfeld, the Kyle and Miller families in My Wife and Kids and Still Standing.


One can catch pop music’s hit-makers and chart toppers at the American Music Awards 2007. Now in its 35th year, the star-studded event will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on 19 November at 6.30 am and a prime time repeat at 8 pm on Star World.


Starting 24 November is the second season of the sci-fi drama series Kyle XY every Saturday at 8 pm. Also, premiering on 27 November at 8 pm is a brand new series of Beyond the Break, a drama about four aspiring surfers who dream of being world-class champions. Also in the offing is the new seasons of The Jane Show starting 8 November, My Wife and Kids which premiers on 12 November and 8 Simple Rules starting 26 November.
