The last time Mira Nair’s visit to India was to buy the rights of the script for Munnabhai MBBS to be remade as Gangster MD and wrapping up other details of her forthcoming film Namesake.
This time Mira Nair in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures is planning a film festival to be held later this year. The festival will comprise seven films from her kitty. Cinegoers may be aware of her film Salaam Bombay. Mississippi Masala, Kamasutra, Hysterical Blindness are among the other films that will be screened at the festival.
The festival will be held in Mumbai and other metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
