[tps_footer]Bollywood director Shirish Kunder and Nepali director Aneel Neupane recently had a legal spat over the plot of Kunder‘s recently released short film ‘Kriti‘. Soon after the short film was released on YouTube, speculations started doing rounds that Kunder has copied the plot and that it should be pulled down from YouTube immediately. Well, the video is no longer available due to the copyright claim by Aneel Neupane.
Shirish Kunder’s short film Kriti was receiving amazing response and appreciation from the viewers all over, however, the film was pulled down due to copyrights issue. Well, now what comes as a surprise is that ‘BOB’ has also been pulled down from YouTube.
Bob director took to his twitter handle to reveal about the same. He tweeted, “Bob has been lifted off youtube for now. But you can still watch it here. Right, @ShirishKunder? #KritiStoleBOB”
Meanwhile, Shirish Kunder and makers of the short film have denied all the allegations and have also filed a case for putting false allegations on him. The Kriti director has sent a legal notice to Aneel through his lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee.
In his statement, lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee stated, “The film BOB was removed from YouTube channel last night because of objections from my clients. It is obvious that no case of plagiarism is made out against my clients as was alleged by Mr. Aneel Neupane. Currently, my client’s film Kriti is being exhibited on Muvizz.com, Dailymotion, Vimeo and Facebook. We have also explained our legal position to youtube channel and youtube have assured us full cooperation. My clients are fulfilling the requirements of YouTube in the said matter and are hopeful that their film shall be exhibited soon on their esteemed platform. In the meantime, the viewers can view the said much-appreciated film on Muvizz.com, Dailymotion, Vimeo, and Facebook”
