The filmmaker who received loads of praises for his short film was soon targeted for plagiarism too. It is reported that Kriti is majorly similar to the short film BOB which is directed by a Nepali filmmaker Aneel Neupane.

Many viewers who have viewed both the short films claim that Kriti is highly relatable to BOB. Except for the climax majority of the scenes are similar. After the reports, the video sharing platform YouTube which showcased Shirish Kunder’s Kriti pulled out the movie too. Kriti was officially removed from YouTube due to plagiarism accusations.

The micro blogging site Twitter was trending with the hash tag KritiSeeksTruth. Additionally, apart from the scenes another allegation has now come up on Shirish Kunder’s short film Kriti. A twitter user pointed out that not only the film but also the poster of this short film is copied. The user posted the posters of Kriti and a Japanese film which were similar to one another.
Well, seems like Shirish Kunder is not going to be bogged down by all these allegations. The filmmaker has tweeted something which gives answer to the stolen poster allegation. Shirish tweeted saying, “OMG! #Kriti copies Hollywood film poster, that copies Japanese film poster, that copies Tarun Tejpal’s book cover!!!”
