MUMBAI: Her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput has already tasted sweet success in Bollywood, and now it seems that Ankita Lokhande is all set to follow in his footsteps.
Lokhande, who currently stars in a TV serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’, may be all set to enter Bollywood with a bang; for she has reportedly been recommended by none other that Shah Rukh Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan reportedly noticed Ankita while at IIFA awards in Macau last weekend, and proposed her name to Farah Khan for her upcoming ‘Happy New Year’. The part is that of a Maharashtrian girl, and SRK felt the looks the part perfectly.
Farah has allegedly shortlisted five newcomers for the role, and is yet to finalise the lead actress.
A source revealed: “He (SRK) spoke to Farah. Once Ankita came back, she met the director and now has apparently signed on the dotted line.”
Neither Farah Khan nor Shah Rukh Khan have confirmed or denied the news.
