The last song Murshida of the album Begum Jaan is a soothing one by Arijit Singh.
Vidya Balan starrer Begum Jaan had its last song Murshida released today on April 12, and we must say that there could not be a better singer for the song. Murshida, sung by Arijit Singh, is a very soothing light toned song.
The song has been penned down by the lyricist Rahat Indori and has been composed by the famous music composer and singer, Anu Malik. The lyrics of the song narrate the struggle of the brothel owner against the government authorities.
Begum Jaan is a story based on a brothel owner, who struggles hard to save her place. The challenging role has been played by Vidya Balan. The background of the film is that of the India-Pakistan partition era, where the brothel has been ordered to be demolished so that the Indo-Pak border can be made.
Begum Jaan has been directed and written by Srijit Mukherji. It is an official remake of the Bengali film, Rajkahini. The films which also stars Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Naseeruddin Shah and Chunky Pandey, is all set to hit the screens on April 14, this year.
