Quantico: Priyanka Chopra Nominated For People's Choice Awards

Bollywood sensation Priyanka Chopra becomes the first Indian actress to get nominated at the ‘People’s Choice Awards’. She has been nominated for Favourite Actress in a new TV Series for her American thriller series, ‘Quantico’.

Priyanka Chopra made her international TV debut in September 2015 on ABC Network . Only three episodes old show, ‘Quantico’ has made Priyanka a fan favourite across the globe.The critics have been raving about her performance. She is nominated against Hollywood ‘s biggest names Betsy Brandt (Life In Pieces) was also seen in critically acclaimed ‘Breaking Bad’ , Academy award winner Dianne Wiest (Life In Pieces), Jamie Lee Curtis (Scream Queens), Emma Roberts(Scream Queens), Lea Michele(Scream Queens) who is well known for her role in Glee to name a few.

As soon as the nominations were revealed, Priyanka Chopra took to twitter to share her gratitude towards the fans,critics and jury. Here’s what she had to say-

Shonda Rhimes’s Scandal star Tony Goldwyn ,who plays President Grant on the show,congratulated Priyanka on her nomination. Wow! President Grant watches ‘Quantico’. That is huge !!

On October 13^th 2015, ‘Quantico’ was given full season order by ABC Network. However, there is an ongoing conversation, and the pickup may be increased from the current 19 episodes to get closer to the standard full-season 22 episodes.

Priyanka Chopra plays Alex Parrish, an FBI recruit who finds herself framed as a co-conspirator in one the biggest terrorist attacks on American soil since 9/11.The show revolves in two time-zones-one where Alex is training to become a FBI agent with other recruits and other time zone where she has been framed for the attack by one of the FBI agents. The show narrates the adventures of the recruits and experiences as they train at ‘Quantico’ base in Virginia, and secrets of their past start to emerge.

The show also stars Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Masri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Anabelle Acosta and Josh Hopkins in pivotal roles.

‘People’s Choice Awards‘ show is America’s one of the major award shows that is voted entirely by the public for fan favourites in films, music and television. The voting has already begun.
